Death with Dignity act controversy

When you hear those words (Death with Dignity) what comes to your mind?, Well for me it was kind of shocking the first time i heard about it on TV. On the news they were explaining about the "right to die" everybody has and at which USA states are currently legal. The first state that became legal was at Oregon in the year of 1994 after a citizen initiated a referendum but it was not implemented until October of 1997 and in November 2008 became legal at Washington. The third state is Montana which became legal on December 2009. But for you that don't have an idea what i'am talking about the Death with Dignity act allows people who are terminally ill with 6 months or less to live to ask their doctors for a lethal medication. First the patient must make 2 verbal requests and 1 written request that is fully witnessed by two people, one of them can't be related to the patient. Then two physicians must evaluate the medical records and condition of the patient to make sure this person indeed has a terminally ill condition and is not depressed and acting voluntarily. Once a request has been made the physicians must wait 48 hours before writing a prescription. Usually the prescription are Nembutal or Seconal. Seconal compared to Nembutal it cost less money. Seconal comes in pill form and patients need to take 100 pills for a lethal dose. The pills are often opened and the powder dispensed in foods like pudding or applesauce... Nembutal is easier to take since it can be swallowed as a liquid; nearly 7 ounces is a lethal dose. The patient must administered the lethal medication themselves. Now that you have a brief information about this Death with Dignity act, will you consider it if you have a terminally ill condition?, Do you think everybody has the final decision to take their own life's if they are suffering more than enjoying life?. I have 2 opinions. First, If iam a religious person i wouldn't do it since my beliefs will be that only God can take our life's and anything else will be considered as a suicide. But my other opinion will be that God gave us "free will" to choose and based on that and also the person situation i think they can choose when to stop their pain and when to stop their suffering. If a family member tells me they want to die with "dignity" and i know they will not live for long i will respect their decision because is their option, is their last option.

Fight Cancer not Wars!

Before i start i got to give you the definition of cancer so you can have an idea what it is. Cancer is a term used for diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control and are able to invade other tissues. Cancer cells can spread to other parts of the body through the blood and lymph systems.Cancer is not just one disease but many diseases. There are more than 100 different types of cancer. Most cancers are named for the organ or type of cell in which they start - for example, cancer that begins in the colon is called colon cancer; cancer that begins in basal cells of the skin is called basal cell carcinoma. All cancers begin in cells, the body's basic unit of life. Many researchers and cancer specialists believe that up to 60% of those deaths can be prevented if Americans adopt healthier lifestyles. Some cancer fighting foods  are considered as: garlic, dark leafy greens, grapes, green tea, tomatoes, blueberries, flax seeds, mushrooms, cruciferous vegetables and whole grains. If i was you i will start eating healthy, have a routine of exercise every week and have regular checkups with your doctor. We got to fight this cancer back because if not its like giving up while you are still alive and giving up hope too. My family from both sides (mom and dad) have suffered from cancer and some of them have passed away like my grandma which i loved like a mother and just about 2 days ago my mother in law passed away too due to this stupid cancer and the rest of them is still fighting every day.I hate see them crying, praying every night for a miracle to happen and going through chemotherapy. I wish someday God can make this cancer disappear and we all don't have to suffer no more. Instead of focusing on wars and sending money to that purpose why not fight cancer and all those funds will go to doctors who are really trying to find a cure, why not!. Estimated new cases and deaths from cancer in the United States in 2012 are: New cases: 1,638,910 (does not include nonmelanoma skin cancers) and Deaths: 577,190. Don't you visualize this as an alarming numbers?, well i do and we most stop it!. Finally, i would like to send my love and blessings to all those families who are suffering cancer or have friends or family with cancer may God be with you!

Us ambassador of Libya killed,Why?!

On September 11,2012 the Us ambassador Chris Stevens was killed and three other americans when a mob outraged over a blasphemous movie stormed the Us consulate in Benghazi. The attackers ripped up a Us flag then looted the consulate before setting it on fire on the eleventh anniversary of September 11 terrorists attacks. After this, they took this 4 americans and killed them. The president of the United States of America,Obama, pledged to work with the Libyan government  "to see that justice is done for this terrible act".Meanwhile the President of Libya's national assembly,Magarief, told in live TV "We apologize to the United States, the people, and to the whole world for what happened".After watching the controversial video and after watching the horrible pictures of the Us ambassador some questions pop out of my head.First,Why they think that killing these 4 americans is going to resolve this issue?,Why a movie can make people react in  this "animal" way?,Does violence has become the new "remedy" for every problem?.Well i don't agree in resolving our problems with a violent act.Second, some people makes fun of God and Christians but these christian people are not going crazy to the streets and killing every single of them so why this muslims have to do this? WHY!?.I always believed that our world have become more cold-hearted less insensible. We are living in a world of fear and hate,we don't trust in each other like we used to before for example let's think about what happened after the terrorist act on September 11,2001 at New York where the Twin Towers where hit by two airplanes and a lot of innocent people died.First the USA created the "Department of Homeland security" to secure our country from any possible future terrorists attacks and you can experience the difference for example when you go to an airport there's id scanners, luggage scanners, you can't bring certain items to the airplanes and they "searched" you to make sure you are "OK".This whole process has a main reason of preventing a terrorist attack but can we trust in each other again? Can we go to a place without being searched?.The answer is NO!.We live in a world full of changes, suffering and violent acts.Today i want to make you think again, why do we have to act like animals and feel no remorse?.RIP

Don't prejudice people with tattoos!

Hi!,today i will be talking about my own personal experience.First of all,I have several tattoos in areas where they can be seen easily and iam 100% proud of every each one because they represent my family, life story, good memories and some of them symbolizes good positive energy.Lets start by how i made the decision on getting my first tattoo.Well,i was around 20 something years old and i always wanted a tattoo but my dad never wanted me do so,so i decided on moving out to my own place and do it.I wanted to become independent and show everybody that it doesn't matter who you are or what you wear you can be an useful person for your country. After i move out i waited a couple of months and choosed my tattoo design. Then went to this recognized and popular tattoo place close to where i lived. When its your first tattoo you are very nervous and scared because you don't have an idea of how much its going to hurt but as a brave women i took the pain as a queen.I didn't cry, scream or run out of the place I just left with an awesome tattoo to show off. After leaving the place i went to my mom's house and showed her my tattoo and she though that i was joking, that might not be real and so on until she saw "Hey! its damn real!" She looked at me like "Why the hell you did it?!" But i knew she will understand my reasons, thankfully she understood. My reason for my first tattoo was to always remember that i have 2 kids to fight for and i will never going to let them down.I will fight for them no matter what, that's what good mom's do and protect them against any danger. You see my tattoo and it just tells you that message without saying a single word. That's what tattoos are about,to tell you a message without necessarily talking about it or say a word. After this first tattoo it became addictive and i did a bunch more here and there but every each one means a lot to me.Its not just a simple tattoo its ART,its your Past and your Present. We tattooed people has been prejudice years after years but you have to stop doing that because we are just human beings like you who can get offended, who have emotions, who have jobs, who are decent people and who deserves to be treated like everybody else. Now on  year 2,012 we are becoming more open minded about this matter of people getting tattoos and showing them off, even celebrities are getting tattooed and they make Tattoos Conventions all over the country, this tells you that people are living their life's as they want to and they are not scared about people's opinions because they are not doing any wrong.A tattoo can't change people's attitude or mind they are the same people with the same beliefs before getting any tattoos. So my question is "Why people have to prejudice against tattooed people? why!?" I live my life,i have no criminal record, iam at college finishing my degree,no traffic tickets, pay my taxes, pay my house and i don't have to steal to get what i want because i work for what i want to pursue or get so now can you tell me the difference between me a tattooed women and a non tattooed person? Nooo, theres no difference! Get to know us tattooed people before pointing your fingers at us and start prejudicing. And for those who say "You will regret your tattoos when you get old"Why should i regret my good memories with my family,my past,my present and future? No i will not regret it a single bit!
